I got an NYC palette to test from influenster the other day!!
The palette looks like this:

The palette is so pretty and romantic. The shades are all very blendable and with a primer they last all day. The colors are more romantic which I love for my brown eyes. The middle shade was all over the lid color. It is so beautiful and blends out so it doesn't end up looking heavy. The bottom shade is a nice light crease color for those days that you just don't feel like going so dark in the crease. It's super easy and less messy than a dark crease color but still says "hi I have big pretty eyes". The highlighting color is stunning. I use this one for my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes. It reminds me of the highlighted look that my original naked palette gives me! Overall I love this! Go NYC! The finished eye look:

Everyday makeup routine!

Hey guys!

Lately I have been getting together some of the products that I use for an everyday look. I do work a normal work week of 40 hours so this is where I spend most of my time and  my makeup does have to be neutral for my office job.  Overall I prefer a more natural look  and that is what I go for on an everyday basis!

I always start by hydrating my skin.  Right now I'm using Josie Maran's Argan oil Light and Mac's  Complete Comfort Creme. I always let my moisturizer dry for at least ten minutes before I try to apply primer!! I feel like it lets  all of the products sink in a little better. The primer I use is Clinique's Super primer Universal primer. It's super gentle and creamy which is perfect for my dry sensitive skin! After that's all settled I apply my Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation. Right now I am in rose ivory. I apply that all over with a Beauty Blender. Lately I haven't been using a concealer because I haven't had any bad breakouts but when I do I use Mac Pro longwear in nc-20.  I use Urban Decay Naked pressed powder to set my foundation when I know it's going to be a longer than normal day. For blush I use Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Rose Bloom. If you haven't tried these blushes I highly recommend them. They are so gorgeous! The color payoff is to die for! I sometimes contour my cheeks but not on most days. When I do I use Too Faced Chocolate Soliel bronzer. I love this because it is a beautiful matte bronzer without all the crazy shimmer and ADDED BONUS: it smells like chocolate!

Y'all are like oh wow she's done? Nope! Time for the eyes!!!  I always always prime my eyes first. From a girl who used to roll her eyes at eye primers: it will change your life. I always thought the eye shadows were all complete crap because they creased and came off so easily. I was young and stupid I know! I use Urban Decays primer potion the original formula. Now I use some sort of blend of the naked palettes on my lids. I always do a lighter crease color like limit, or naked. I follow that with a shimmery color close to my corners like half baked or tease and follow it out with a darker matte color like nooner or buck.  I line my lash line with tatted Amazonian Clay Smoldereyes Skinny pencils. That's the easiest way for me... with liquid liner just forget it! I'm a mess! Right now I am trying to find my holy grail mascara but I haven't yet. In the meantime I am using maybelline rocket volume mascara.

On my lips I usually throw on Lustering by Mac with a nice light pink gloss and I'm set to go!

This look normally takes about 15 minutes to throw together. Nothing too extravagant  for that early in the morning and it's nice and hydrating for winter time!!

Hope you guys enjoyed seeing what products I love enough to use daily!

Leave me some comments on the products you guys use everyday and why you love them!

Until next time 💋

Urban Decay Naked 3

OK, I finally received my Naked 3 palette today! I obviously haven't gotten time to actually wear the eye shadows and observe their lasting power but I do have a couple of thoughts right off the bat with this palette. Let's get started!

The packaging is more like Naked 2 than the original Naked palette. It has a wavy surface and comes in cute rose-gold packaging. I personally liked the original Naked packaging, because for me it was easier to open and close but this one works fine. The mirror is beautiful. It is nice and big so you can see all the detail when you are doing your eyes. It does come with a double sided Urban Decay brush. One side is a blending brush, and the other is a normal shadow brush. If you're interested in buying these they are on Urban Decay's website at the following links:

Now for the shades and my opinions on them :

Strange: Great highlighting color. Perfect for the brow bone, and the inner corner of the eyes.
Dust: This is my least favorite swatch. The glitter is a little too chunky for my taste. It is a very pretty color, just pretty chunky and not easily blended.
Burnout: One of my favorite shadows this far! This is so pretty! It would go great as an all over the lid color.
Limit: Limit is a very pretty matte color. It is very versatile! Love that!
Buzz: IN LOVE WITH THIS ONE! So beautifully made. Glitter is not so overwhelming but rather subtle and so gorgeous!
Trick: This one is also just so pretty! I love the blend of pink and gold in this one!
Nooner: Very pretty crease color. I think this is the color I will use in my crease the most!
Liar: So beautiful. This color payoff is amazing! What a pretty, pretty shade! It is a bit sparkly and while applying it may stray onto your skin but it seems to brush away easily.
Factory: Not one of my personal favorites. This one is a lighter satin brown color. Not anything amazing with this one.
Mugshot: This one is darker but I love it. It's like a metallic dark. An awesome dark metallic that I have never had before.
Darkside: My thoughts on Darkside: It's not to die for. It's okay but not great. It would work with a smokey eye but many of the other colors had this one beat.
Blackheart: GORGEOUS! I can not wait to do a Smokey eye with this one!

So far I am loving the new colors and I am so excited to try it all out and see just how well it lasts throughout the day. If you haven't already gotten it, from the look so far, I am so glad I did! The formula feels the same, so I imagine that the color pay off is going to be the same. I will be updating for my opinion and my recommendation!

Current skin care routine!

Hey guys! So today's topic is skin care! A question I love and hate to answer, "what is your skin care routine?" When answering this I always make sure to include my skin type and the way my skin acts for the best recommendations. Just try to remember just because it works for her doesn't mean it will work for you.

Let's get started! I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin. Isn't that something?!? When I don't moisturize 3 times a day my face cracks, when I use something with sulfates I get red irritated patches, and when I use facial soaps to get rid of my acne they cause it to crack and become even more red and angry! If that's you, try some of the products I'm about to list!

Morning:

I wake up in the morning and wash my face with Michael Todd's honey and oat sulfate free cleanser.
I pat my face dry and use Josie Maran's Argan Oil Light moisturizer.
I proceed to use a primer and go about my makeup routine.

Night:

I remove my makeup with Mac's cleanse off oil
I wash with my Michael todd honey and oat on my acne prone clarisonic brush ( I only use this every 2 nights)
Boscia cooling and calming mask (every 3 nights) for my redness and irritation
I use a Michael Todd blue green algae toner to help my acne
I use my Josie Maran Argan oil light moisturizer

Right before bed:

A couple more drops of the Argan oil
Olay eye cream to prevent future wrinkles

I hope this helps anyone with trouble skin like mine! Stay tuned for more; I am just getting started!
